Neumann TLM 102 Vocal Set – Studio Vocals in an Untreated Room

A Neumann vocal chain for bedrooms and home offices. The TLM 102 brings the Neumann top end, the Volt 2 Max adds preamp character and 1176 / LA-2A style compression on the way in, and the Reflexion Filter Pro keeps the room out of the take. Stand and headphones included, one order.

In This Setup

• Neumann TLM 102 Studio Set – compact large-diaphragm cardioid, transformerless, built-in pop screen and a slight presence lift around 10 kHz; EA 4 shockmount included. Black or Silver.
• Universal Audio Volt 2 Max – two Tone Shaping preamps with Max Processing (six compressor presets based on the 1176, LA-2A and VCA designs), 32-bit/192 kHz, talkback mic, two headphone outputs and MIDI I/O; UAD Volt Studio Bundle with LUNA and Melodyne Essential included.
• sE Electronics Reflexion Filter Pro – curved six-layer baffle with an air gap that keeps room reflections out of the mic.
• K&M 210/2 – the classic boom stand: 90-160.5 cm height, 80 cm boom arm and folding legs.
• Audio-Technica ATH-M40x – closed-back studio headphones with flat-tuned 40 mm drivers, 90-degree swiveling earcups and detachable cable.

Why This Combination

• Compressed on the way in: the Max presets even out loud and soft lines.
• Room under control: six absorbing layers behind the mic.
• Mounted properly: EA 4 shockmount and K&M boom stand.

Set price includes all five products; XLR cable sold separately.
