Teenage Engineering EP-127 K.O. Pedal – Hands-free control for the K.O. AMP

The EP-127 K.O. Pedal is a two-button foot controller built for the EP-35 K.O. AMP. Both buttons are pressure-sensitive, so a guitarist or singer can switch effects, run the looper, start the metronome or control playback without taking hands off the instrument. It talks to the amp over Bluetooth LE, and at Soundium it sits with the rest of the Teenage Engineering EP series.

Key Features

  • Two pressure-sensitive buttons: press harder to push an effect further, not just switch it on and off.
  • Four EP-35 modes: FX, looper, metronome and audio playback control.
  • Wireless to the amp: pairs with the EP-35 over Bluetooth LE, no cable across the floor.
  • MIDI controller for other gear: USB-C MIDI for DAWs and synth apps, 3.5 mm MIDI out for synths and pedalboards, Bluetooth LE MIDI for phones and computers.
  • HID mode: a hidden switch turns the pedal into a keyboard-shortcut trigger for computers.
  • Expression input: a 3.5 mm jack for an expression pedal, for example for volume.

Customer Benefits

The EP-35 puts its FX and looper on the top panel, which is fine until both hands are on a guitar neck or a microphone. The K.O. Pedal moves those controls to the floor. Pressure sensitivity is the useful part: a light press adds a little of the effect, a full press drives it, so the pedal works as a performance control and not only as a switch. When the jam ends, the same pedal keeps working on the desk as a MIDI footswitch for a DAW, a synth or a phone app, or as a page-turner style shortcut pedal in HID mode.

Ideal For

EP-35 owners who play guitar or sing through the amp and want effects and looping under their feet; players who need a small battery-powered MIDI footswitch for a DAW, synth or pedalboard.

Pros & Cons

✅ Pros:

  • Pressure-sensitive buttons give gradual control, not only on/off
  • Wireless link to the EP-35, nothing to cable on stage
  • Also works as a USB, 3.5 mm and Bluetooth MIDI controller
  • Runs on two AAA batteries

⚠️ Cons:

  • A controller only, it does not process audio itself
  • Two buttons; larger rigs will want more switches
  • 3.5 mm MIDI out needs a TRS-to-DIN adapter for 5-pin gear

If the EP-35 K.O. AMP is your jam box, the K.O. Pedal is the piece that lets you play and control it at the same time. Find it at Soundium next to the K.O. AMP and the K.O. II.
